Ford Raptor
A pick-up truck, the Ford Raptor is an all-round car, with an all-new body and features as well as a new engine. The Raptor will give the Toyota Hilux a run for its money.
It comes standard with a push-to-start ignition. Some of the Raptor models have heads-up displays and lesser high beam lighting system which makes the car look grand.
It also has an electric slide window at the rear. These and more features make the Raptor a pick-up truck to consider buying this year
Range Rover Vogue and Range Rover Sport
When it comes to British brands, the Range Rover Vogue and the Range Rover Sport have been around for a while although not as common among buyers.
However, these are bouncing back among the middle class, especially the 2018, 2019, 2021 and 2022 models due to their advanced features.
They are comfortable. If you have had a chance to drive one, you do not want to drive anything else. They are suitable for long journeys, especially because of the nature of our rough roads. Their all-round performance is also excellent.
Mercedes Benz GLE Coupe
Just when you thought the Mercedes Benz AMG G63, popularly known as the cross country and the Mercedes Benz ML 4Matic were some of the few sport utility vehicles manufactured by the German brand, the Mercedes Benz GLE Coupe could be the latest entrant in the Mercedes SUV category.
It comes as a second hand or brand new buy, depending on what you prefer.
Mercedes Benz SUV enthusiasts who cannot afford the AMG G63 because of its cost and maintenance have found an alternative in the GLE Coupe. The beauty of the GLE Coupe is its relatively smaller engine size of 3000cc compared to the AMG G63’s 4000cc.
According to Steven Ategyeka, other cars to watch out for include the Toyota Land Cruiser 2022 model, the Kia Sportage Sorento and the Kia Seltos, among others.
Toyota Land Cruiser Prado
The Toyota Land Cruiser Prado is a medium-sized 4-wheel drive vehicle that has risen in popularity not only in Japan and Uganda, but in other countries as well.
Aside from its luxurious exteriors, the model also boasts highly-advanced internal features, which optimizes driver and passenger comfort.
Toyota Alphard
This car’s interior offers dimensions and materials befitting a proper luxury people mover. With so much flexibility in the Alphard’s seating arrangements, the Alphard has won many hearts with its incredibly superior comfort.
It is one of those cars you actually have to get into to understand why many are buying it, although I would say the popularity today is driven by the falling of prices on the used car market.
Lexus R450h L
The vehicle Lexus loaned me featured an Atomic Silver exterior which worked well with its angular wedge design. The trademark Lexus front grill design is enormous, as you can see in this photo, but somehow it all works together as a design language, with curb appeal. Notice that it also finds a middle ground between the boxy shape of a SUV like the Toyota RAV-4 and the more traditional Lexus sedan (like the Lexus NX 300h ). In fact, this RX looks a lot like the NX if you compare the photos.
Still, what you get with the SUV form factor is more room and an interior that’s higher off the ground. A smidge less sleek, perhaps, but a whole lot more comfortable in my opinion. Here’s the back leg room so you can get a peek at the interior:
Honestly, not a huge amount of legroom if the driver or front passenger is tall. I’m 6′ 3″ so I definitely push the seat back to be comfortable while driving, and while the rear passenger has enough leg room to sit comfortably, it’s not a sprawling stretch, more “coach” than “first class”. Then again, for many SUV owners, the back seat is populated by children who are smaller anyway. muddy boots.

The rear hatch also has the popular kick sensor: With the keys in your pocket, you can move your foot under a specific point of the rear bumper and it’ll automatically open up the rear hatch if your hands are otherwise full. The next best thing to asking your driver to “pop the boot”, right?
